In practice, this administration has made little difference on CO2 emissions.

The decreases are minor, generally in line with the trend since 2006, and largely represent a transition from coal to natural gas.

The increases in solar and wind energy in electricity generation have helped some, but they remain a long way off of anything that could be called sustainable.

They attribute the minor reduction in CO2 emissions last year to mostly be from mild weather.

If clean energy is actually at the heart of the 2024 election, then this administration has failed, by its own standards and its own reporting.
